This aftermarket replacement ledger plate (455634R1) is a component of the sickle mower cutter bar cutting assembly. The ledger plate serves as the stationary cutting surface mounted in the mower guard -- the knife sections slide against it to shear hay and forage crops cleanly, functioning much like a pair of scissors.
