One New Aftermarket Replacement Rotor Button Fits Ford (Fits New Holland) 2N, 8N, and 9N Tractors
This aftermarket replacement distributor rotor button Fits Ford (Fits New Holland) 2N, 8N, and 9N tractors equipped with a front-mount distributor -- the configuration where the distributor is mounted directly under the fan blade and water pump, with the generator/alternator mounted on the RIGHT side of the engine as viewed from the operator's seat. The rotor button is a critical ignition component that transfers high-voltage spark from the distributor cap center terminal to the correct spark plug wire terminal as the rotor spins.
Important Fitment Note
For Front-Mount Distributor tractors only (1939-1950). Fits Ford 8N tractors: fits serial numbers UP TO 263843 only. 8N tractors after serial number 263843 use a side-mount distributor and require a different rotor. All 2N (1939-1947) and 9N models use the front-mount distributor and are fully compatible.
