The armature generates a magnetic field that charges the ignition coil, producing the spark needed for reliable engine starting and operation. It is used on select 8 cu. in. horizontal shaft engines and Fits Briggs & Fits Stratton 084000 Series engines, as well as compatible Fits Toro snow throwers powered by these engines.
