This aftermarket replacement brush assembly Fits Briggs & Fits Stratton (B&S) portable and standby generators using non-direct excited systems. The assembly is located inside the generator housing near the rotor and stator, and is mounted into the bearing carrier. It conducts electric current between the stationary wiring and the spinning rotor -- a worn or damaged brush assembly can cause unstable voltage output, power surges, or a complete loss of electricity generation.
