The foam pre-cleaner wraps around the primary pleated-paper air filter cartridge (499486S / 698754, sold separately) and provides a second layer of protection against dust and airborne debris, helping extend the service life of the main air filter and the engine itself. Designed for use on Fits Briggs and Stratton Intek V-Twin engines commonly found in riding lawn tractors and zero-turn mowers. Install dry -- do not oil the pre-cleaner.
