This secondary (safety) air filter is a direct replacement for Fleetguard part number AF26388, an axial seal design made by Cummins Fleetguard. The secondary filter sits inside the primary air filter element and serves as the last line of defense against dust, dirt, and airborne contaminants reaching the engine. It also protects the engine during primary filter service intervals or in the event of a primary filter breach.
