This valve keeper (also known as a valve lock or valve collet) is a valvetrain engine component that secures the valve spring retainer to the valve stem, holding the valve assembly together during engine operation. It is a pin-style keeper sold per half-valve. Sold as one piece -- order two per valve for a complete installation.
