This taperlock-thread turbocharger mounting stud secures the turbocharger to the exhaust manifold on Caterpillar 3176, C10, C11, C12, and C13 series diesel engines. The taperlock (taper-thread) design provides a secure, vibration-resistant hold in the manifold bore. Four studs are typically required per turbocharger installation.
