This engine mount assembly (Mount As-E) isolates and supports the 3116 engine in Caterpillar M318 and M320 wheeled excavators, absorbing vibration between the powerplant and the machine frame to protect drivetrain components and reduce operator fatigue. Worn or cracked engine mounts allow excessive engine movement, causing misalignment, accelerated wear on attached hoses and lines, and increased cab vibration.
