This aftermarket replacement 179-5755 blade trunnion cap bearing (also known as a pillow block bearing cap or angle blade bearing cap) is part of the dozer blade trunnion pivot assembly. It secures the trunnion ball at the main blade pivot point, preventing dirt ingress and maintaining smooth, efficient blade angle operation. Each machine requires 2 cap bearings; these are commonly replaced together with the trunnion ball (179-5757) and shims (183-5297) during a full blade pivot rebuild.
