This magnetic assembly (magnet ass'y) serves as an oil strainer or winch strainer in the transmission and hydraulic systems of Komatsu large-frame bulldozers and pipelayers. The built-in magnet captures ferrous particles and metallic debris from circulating oil, protecting downstream components such as hydraulic pumps and transmission internals from wear-causing contamination.
