One New Aftermarket Replacement Seal As-Buffer for Caterpillar (Cat) Construction Equipment
This aftermarket buffer seal installs in Caterpillar hydraulic cylinders to absorb pressure spikes and protect the primary rod seal from wear. Buffer seals are a critical hydraulic cylinder component -- when they fail, pressure surges reach the rod seal directly, causing premature seal failure and cylinder leaks. Replacing a worn buffer seal at the first sign of weeping is far less costly than a full cylinder rebuild.
