This intermediate (2nd) compression piston ring is a direct aftermarket replacement for the Caterpillar (Cat) C9 and C-9 diesel engine. The intermediate ring seats between the top compression ring and the oil control ring, helping to seal combustion gases and regulate pressure in the ring pack. It is a cast iron ring designed for standard bore diameter.
