This 1.5mm thick middle disc (also known as a separator disc or steel disc) is a drivetrain component used in the planetary final drive motor assembly on Caterpillar compactors, asphalt pavers, and motor graders. It works in conjunction with friction discs within the transmission pack to provide smooth power transfer and braking. Replaces Caterpillar (Cat) OEM part number 136-8068 (1368068).
